Ten Trail Challenge

The time has come where the mornings come late, the nights come early, the sun goes into hibernation and the motivation to get outdoors in Bellingham wanes in all of us.

That is why I am organizing the Ten Trail Challenge.

The Instagram Challenge can best be described as a Bellingham-based, low-key, get out the door and explore the trails challenge. The Strava Challenge can best be described as a Bellingham-based, competitive, get out the door and race the trails virtual race series.

Both challenge span the month of January and allow you to choose the day and time of each attempt. All you have to do is complete all ten trails during the month of January, 2019. Your progress in completing all ten trails will be posted on this website. We’ll be having a local brewery celebration with free and discounted drinks and food for all registrants to celebrate completion of the challenge (location, date and time to be announced).

If we get more than 24 registrants and you complete each of the ten trails, you will receive a high quality Bellingham Ten Trail Challenge t-shirt to celebrate your achievement. Check out the design here.

Instagram Challenge

The challenge is about getting out on our local trails alone or with family and friends to enjoy everything they have to offer. There will be ten trail photo opps designated where you will take a selfie and post it on Instagram with the appropriate hashtag. Visit and Instagram all ten trails during the month of January and you’ve completed the challenge. Progress of all participants will be posted throughout the month.

Strava Challenge

The competition is about running the ten trails as fast as possible. Results will be determined by your placing on each trail in relationship to all the other competitors. You will join our Strava group and upload each of your runs there. Run and upload all ten trails during the month of January and you’ll have completed the challenge. Standings will be posted throughout the month.
